The key intermediate and final products that emanate during the sugar manufacturing process are B Heavy Molasses, C Heavy Molasses and bagasse. B Heavy molasses is an intermediate product which is lighter in colour and has higher sugar content. C Heavy molasses, on the other hand, is the final by-product that is left behind after multiple stages of crystallisation and has a lower sugar content. We use the B Heavy and C Heavy molasses that emanate during the sugar manufacturing process as raw materials for our ethanol production. We have also set up a bio-syrup plant with a capacity of 550.00 TPD which enables us to preserve sugar syrup for up to a year – which facilitates the usage of sugar syrup throughout the year including during off-season.
